This is the grilled vegetable pizza from Cafe Fresco, which is one of our usual lunch haunts. It’s a brand new menu item AND a pizza, which is a pretty solid endorsement. I took a picture of the board so I could remember the description, but all I can make out is “NEW” and “$8.00.” So here it is - the new $8.00 pizza with a bunch of veggies on it! I don’t think it’ll replace any other go-tos but it seems like an ok thing if you’re in the mood for a bunch of veggies on your pizza?
This is a large hamburger and green peppers pizza from Tony’s in Highspire, PA. Hamburger and peppers sounded really good to my brain when I ordered this and obviously my brain was so wrong. Hamburger is not a very good pizza topping you guys. Still, it was good enough and I ate it all over three days.
This is the plain pizza from The Pizza Grille. It was a standard pizza in concept and in flavor. Nothing to scoff at, especially for $6, but nothing I’d go out of my way for again. This is the same local chain as my last post, but this is the Lemoyne, PA location
This is the Italian Turkey Sausage pizza from The Pizza Grille in Camp Hill, PA. I went there to catch up with a friend, and after we caught up we talked about The Hobbit, Skyfall, and New Star Wars. Pizza!
The pizza is, per the menu, spicy Italian turkey sausage, roasted red peppers, tomato sauce, and mozzarella cheese. The sausage was all right. If the peppers hadn’t been on there the whole thing would be fairly insubstantial flavor-wise.
The pizza itself, the basic pizza, was good. I’d go back and get something different.
Pizza from Infinito’s Pizza Buffet. Top: “rosè” which tasted like cheese pizza despite there also being a cheese pizza? The bottom is chicken barbecue which has BBQ sauce and is as big a turd as it sounds. I’ve written about Infinito’s three times before (all from the same trip).
Post 3 - dessert pizza
Pizza made at home. I cut this one differently so that I could have big floppy pieces, but as you can see, I was left with the two worst slices of pizza ever.
A big fat slice of meat lovers’ pan pizza I got from Midtown Pizza Middletown, PA. It was just okay.
Pepperoni pizza and supreme pizza from (forgive me if I’m wrong on this) Sorrento’s in Hershey, PA. We had a movie day with some friends, and one of them picked these up. The movies: “Alien” and “Tucker & Dale vs. Evil.” The movies were good. The pizza was good. It was a nice Saturday.
Made at home. The dough only rose for about 30 minutes - my wife wanted pizza for lunch so I had some too. I only used pesto because I was out of real pizza sauce. I used a shit ton of cheese. It was edible.
This is the Mediterranean pizza from Cafe Fresco in Harrisburg, which was good. I have already blogged about this. IDK. Pizza.
